|AHI assumes command of Shattered|
DECEMBER 20, 2011 - Amityville Holdings, Inc. has approved the purchase agreement for Shattered Hopes: The True Story of the Amityville Murders. The deal, inked in November was formally adopted by the officers of AHI on Dec. 20, 2011. As a result of the approval, AHI now becomes the owner of the intellectual property known as Shattered Hopes, Parts I-III, the Shattered Hopes Facebook page and website. AHI, additionally, is the registered copyright owner of the film and related materials connected to such.
In addition to assuming all obligations for residual and royalty payments, as well as all agreements previously executed by production shingle KatcoMedia and Ryan Katzenbach, the firm has also agreed to a DAA with the Screen Actor's Guild of which Katco was signatory. AHI will be required to honor any and all SAG terms that were originally executed in Katco's Theatrical Producer Agreement contract dated 2010.
AHI is planning an overhaul of the Shattered website before Part II's release to make it more user friendly and feature more content related to the film.
The officers will meet again on January 30th to receive an update on December sales and production status of Part II.
